As you know, we at YOGA Magazine eat, sleep, and breathe yoga, and every month we try to bring you the best there is to know in the world of Yoga. This issue is no exception. We are beyond excited to present the September issue where we dive deeper into yogic practices and how it improves your lives.

This month’s cover girl Nina Verkoeyen is an international spiritual leader and the founder of Meta Spirituality, an emerging spiritual tradition that supersedes old “New Age” spirituality. We also learn about Meher Baba, who was prophesised by a sage that he was “destined to shake the world into wakefulness.”

Looking deep into the benefits of yoga, not just for the body, but also for the mind and the spirit, Dilara Gümüş talks about how yoga can help unveil our mind. Cassady Cayne explains how you can use yoga to release the blocks on your heart chakra and help you in your journey of love. Rola Tassabehji explores how yoga not only provides physical and mental benefits but can also slow down aging and promotes longevity and Estíbaliz Echevarría Guerrero gives us his insights into the benefits of yoga in treating hyperkyphosis.

Yoga has been wrongly stereotyped as a feminine interest, but Penny Weston debunks these stereotypes and talks about why more men should be practicing yoga and its benefits for men including increased sexual performance. Debunking more myths about yoga, Richard Brook tells us why the fear of not achieving the “perfect posture” and flexibility should not keep you away from yoga. Jordan Ashley talks about the yogic principles of Yamas and Niyamas and how you can integrate these yogic principles into your practice both on and off the mat. More on yogic principles, Lauren Shufran explores how we can find the use of the yogic spiritual practice, or as she likes to call it, “the Dharma of Shakespeare”, in Shakespeare’s plays.

More Yoga’s expert instructor, Anna De Sousa, explains the benefits of inverted yoga poses and why you too should go “upside down”. Michael DeHoyos lists down the eight mental health benefits of yoga and Joanna Dase debunks 7 popular fitness myths that are preventing you from looking at fitness in a realistic way. Gerard Sunen expands on the spectrum of energies that activate our human experience during life’s journey while Caitlin Harper tells us what affirmations are and how you too can use affirmations to bring forth positivity in your life

We hope you enjoy this issue of Yoga Magazine!
Bringing positive change!
